Project #6 Experimental Camera

Description

During the quarantine caused by covid-19, I was stranded at home for almost 6 months. I spent most of my time sitting on the sofa, watching NETFIX. It gives me a kind of feeling that time is endless, infinitely extended and I became quite marginalized. This Experimental Camera can extend image, make it seems endless. My purpose of making such thing is to show how endless is the time in my senses, to show my despairing emotion. However, the images it produces are actually very amusing…

Design Process:

The process of this experimental camera is simple, pick one line of pixels from my live camera and then use copy() to paste it on the canvas one line after another.

Reflection:

This Tiktok effect inspired me, I tried to write down the pseudocode then draw it in P5.js. I think through this exercise I can better manage my requirement and fulfill it with coding.
